Railway Ghosts – A Halloween Treat
October 10 to 31, 2025
Every year, just before Halloween, Exporail is taken over by ghosts, skeletons, bats, and spiders!
And this year is no exception!
For adults and children ages 10 and up:
New characters have slipped into some of the vehicles in the Grand Gallery. Follow our ghostly narrator as he unveils the truth about tragic events that took place over the centuries in a haunted-station atmosphere. Feel free to help him along the way—his memory isn’t always reliable… after all, he’s a ghost!
This activity offers families with older children, or adults visiting with friends, a chance to explore the collection from a new and thrilling perspective. Since understanding the storyline is key, this experience is not recommended for children under 10.
For families with children under 10:
We suggest more suitable activities, such as a craft workshop held in a specially decorated train car. Young visitors will have fun developing their creativity and dexterity by making their very own Halloween railway mask.
The Pumpkin Trail adds a playful twist with riddles to solve, courtesy of the City of Saint-Constant, which will also be offering additional craft workshops alongside those at the museum.
(Animations are offered on Saturdays and Sundays.)
THE GHOST TRAIN ($)
Two train cars await you again this year, each offering a unique spooky experience
For children under 10: Candy distribution on board and a mini-pumpkin picking stop at Montée des Bouleaux Station, offered by Le Verger Charbonneau, who will also be hosting a booth with their gourmet products on the weekend of October 25–26.
For ages 10 and up: In collaboration with Fantômes Montréal, climb aboard our Ghost Train and uncover the tragic life and death of an early 20th-century railway worker. Chills guaranteed!
Departures: October 18–19, 25–26, and 31, 2025
