Pow Wow July 12th & 13th 2025
Echoes of a Proud Nation Pow Wow – Kahnawà:ke Mohawk Territory
Kahnawà:ke will be hosting it’s 33rd Annual Pow Wow on the Tekakwitha Island, along the waterway of the Saint Lawrence Seaway. This event is an opportunity to share our culture with our neighbours and friends and show solidarity with all Indigenous peoples from Turtle Island and beyond. Visitors have access to a variety of food vendors, cooking up some traditional items such as Indian tacos, walleye nuggets, corn bread, corn soup, wild rice, strawberry juice, lemonade, and other favorites such as bison burgers to name a few. There are various dance competitions from all the nations from across Canada and the United States as well as other indigenous nations like Aztek’s and Maori, that come to enjoy the weekend of festivities brought together by the drumbeat of the big drums. The traditional regalia are all pieces of art that will leave you in awe with the individual pieces all made by hand. You will have the opportunity to browse through the hundreds of artisan vendors that are set up with so many beautiful crafts for you to bring back for yourself or give as a gift!
Come enjoy the festivities and maybe get up and dance in one of the intertribal dances! You will hear these dances announced by the MC, so pay attention to not miss out on any important information on protocol as each dance has a significance and respect is always very important. Pow Wow is an opportunity to learn and connect, so we are very proud to be able to host this event once again!
Always recommended to bring an umbrella for this is a rain or shine event. There is a free shuttle offered from EXO bus at Angrignon metro to make it easier to get access. We hope to see you there this summer!
This event is open to the public. Buy your tickets now !
