Friends of the Lac-Saint-François National Wildlife Area
On land as well as on water, discover the biodiversity recognized worldwide by UNESCO (RAMSAR site) of the Lake Saint-François National Wildlife Reserve. The nature interpretation activities such as guided excursions in rabaska, sea kayak and two-person canoe, workshops and events relating to nature as well as geocaching for families and schools (by reservation). Access to 10 km of hiking trails. Launch for non-motorized boats with complete safety equipment. Dogs on a leash are accepted.
The Friends of the Lake Saint-François National Wildlife Area welcome you to a unique site in the municipality of the Township of Dundee, it is a privileged place to become familiar with wetlands through the discovery of its marshes and swamps. In a completely unique environment, on foot, by rabaska and sea kayak, come observe and listen to this plant and animal world so rich in teaching and wonder. Offering 10 km of hiking trails, guided outings in 2-person canoes, Rabaskas canoes (10-12 people) and high-quality sea kayaks (1-2 people). In addition, various land activities are offered such as geocaching, feathers and colors, to name a few.
Pontoon for People with Reduced Mobility
Designed especially for people with reduced mobility who are unable to participate in canoeing, rabaska, or sea kayaking, our pontoon service invites you to explore the hidden treasures of our aquatic ecosystems in safety and comfort. Aboard our adapted vessels — with space for a wheelchair or motorized scooter — let yourself be carried into the heart of nature and discover the fascinating life that inhabits these unique environments. This exclusive service is available for groups of two to four people, at a rate of $25 per person.
Important notice: Reservations are accepted from June 1st to October 15th only.
The Lake Saint-François National Wildlife Area is a privileged place for lovers of hiking, wildlife observation and nature photography.
