The shows:
20 Years Later, Still Here!
July 8 to 11 – Grande Bibliothèque Auditorium (BAnQ)
An autofictional show that retraces the crazy adventure of two women over two decades in the world of circus arts. Told with warmth, humour, and vertiginous acrobatics, this story invites the audience to share the highs and lows of a life dedicated to performance.
From glitter and glamour to countless hours of training, from blood, sweat, and tears. But beyond the hardships, this story celebrates the inspiration that live performance can offer to the audience, as well as the friendship between two women that has endured over time.
Défis Déjantés
July 2 to 12 – Studio Espace St-Denis
Get ready to spin the wheel, hit the buzzer, and lose your mind! This electrifying show plunges you headfirst into the neon and synth universe of 1980s game shows, where stakes are absurd, rules are questionable, and where absolutely anything can happen.
Expect world-class acrobatics, breathtaking technical feats, and the kind of humour that has made this company a force to be reckoned with — all wrapped in a chaotic and kaleidoscopic game show that would make even the most seasoned contestant sweat. Audience members will compete in wild challenges between circus acts, with performers constantly blurring the line between competition and performance. At the crossroads of sport, comedy, and circus, this show rewrites the rules of the game — then juggles them, probably on a unicycle.
Drôle de monstre!
July 4 and 5 – Studio Espace St-Denis
Argh! A monster! A hideous and evil monster! With disgusting claws, bristling hair, and horns. It is disgusting, repulsive, and… very, very lonely. And so? That will teach it. It’s its own fault!
But wait, the monster is not so bad after all: it is big and strong, solid and clever. It has nothing to hide and completely ignores rules and good manners. It is exciting, different, funny, and not boring at all. Will you dare to shake hands with the monster?
“Drôle de monstre!” shows how tempting it is to break rules — and how fun it is to break them.
Équipage recherché
July 11 and 12 – Studio Espace St-Denis
Captain Madjack Rackham is searching for a final crew member in order to set off in search of treasure. The audience is invited to attend this grand assembly, during which an aspiring sailor must overcome various trials to earn their place in the crew.
A journey where the customs and challenges of life at sea are represented through this story of freedom, with breathtaking circus performances. This inspiring historical fiction features varied characters with an original musical score that will leave a lasting memory. Aerial acrobatics, balancing, hand-to-hand, staged combat.
La Bagatelle du Roi des Miettes
July 8 to 11 – Grande Bibliothèque Auditorium (BAnQ)
It is the softness of pastel colours, the comforting taste of vanilla frosting, the thrill of a gift being unwrapped, and the excitement of a brand-new ride.
This show invites you to meet a being in search of difference — a human who is searching, daring, and trying to surprise. Driven by a deep desire to destabilize, they offer an experience where emotions mix, collide, and resonate. Through this approach, they share their questions, impulses, and contradictions. Perhaps they are simply seeking to live with you a unique moment — atypical, rare, and unusual.
La Bagatelle du Roi des Miettes is a true multidisciplinary melting pot. Circus is the starting point, but very quickly boundaries disappear: dance, skateboarding, theatre, object manipulation, and acrobatics intertwine with boldness and lightness, like a “funfetti” cake bursting with colour and surprises.
A sensitive, fragmented, and truly unique show to experience fully.
La Chute des Anges
July 2 to 5 – TOHU Circular Hall
What would become of our world if even angels could no longer fly? A poetic vision of anticipation that questions our present through a controlled future.
In a cold world where machines dominate formatted beings, fallen angels wander, caught in the irony of a metallic and oppressive universe. They strive to rise in a constrained environment while nature has lost its rights, under a grey sky and burnt ground. But the desire to live and resist remains stronger than anything.
Between conformity, submission, and the urge for freedom, a crack opens: that of a possible flight.
At the crossroads of circus, dance, theatre, and cinema, Raphaëlle Boitel creates a visually powerful work. Chinese pole, acrobatics, and aerial movement express a sensitive struggle for emancipation.
An ode to freedom, crossed with dark fantasy and cruel humour, this creation becomes a song of resistance: a breath of air, an escape toward the light.
Searching for Love
July 3, 4, 8 and 9 – Studio Espace St-Denis
An experienced but involuntary cultivator of discomfort, Jerry stands out through his lack of social skills and deep desire to be loved. The show, an explosive cocktail of circus and awkward moments, offers a both hilarious and touching dive into the sometimes absurd realities of love-seeking hearts.
For better and for worse, Jerry Tremblay guarantees an unforgettable evening filled with surprises.
Silly Little Things
July 3 to 6 – Grande Bibliothèque Auditorium (BAnQ)
Blending mime, clowning, and physical comedy, the show explores with lightness and absurdity those small everyday things capable of making or breaking a friendship.
In a burlesque and introspective universe, Trygve transforms the simplest ideas into totally unpredictable scenes driven by boundless imagination.
Subversive and poetic, Silly Little Things is an experimental playground where wonder, humour, and magic are born. An ode to friendship and imagination, created by one of the major names in contemporary mime, whose shows are internationally successful and sell out worldwide festivals.|
St.art
July 7 to 12 – TOHU Circular Hall
A vibrant tribute to sport and movement, St.art offers an intense stage experience where the body becomes language.
Carried by real athletes, including a Czech trampoline champion, the show explores, through euphoria, triumph, and self-overcoming, universal emotions by bringing together the journeys of athletes and artists.
With Cirk La Putyka, St.art blends visual power and raw emotion in a celebration of movement and those who push their limits.
