MORE REAL THAN REAL HYPERREALISM. THIS IS NOT A BODY.
Until October 12 2026
You could swear they’re breathing. And yet… they are sculptures.
Get ready for a disorienting encounter with hyperrealistic human figures of striking precision. Silent presences that feel almost alive, unsettling in their detail and presence.
Presented for the first time in Canada, this international exhibition brings together around forty works created by 35 artists from here and abroad. It highlights Quebec and Canadian talent while featuring exceptional loans from the Museum’s collection and partner institutions.
In an immersive journey, works by Ron Mueck, Duane Hanson, Patricia Piccinini, and Maurizio Cattelan blur perception. We move closer. We hesitate. We step back. Then we return. Reality shifts. Illusion takes over.
Spanning 50 years of hyperrealist sculpture, the exhibition leads us into a space where emotion and wonder meet without filter. A journey that brings us back to what often escapes us: our own humanity.
An experience to live. Impossible to forget.
