Interactive Experiences to Discover Archaeology
At the Discover Hall, archaeology becomes a hands-on and interactive experience. Visitors can learn about the work of archaeologists through simulated excavations, reproductions of artifacts and various installations that help explain the methods used to study traces left by past populations.
To take the discovery even further, the Laboratory introduces visitors to the sciences connected to archaeology and the scientific methods used to study archaeological discoveries. Visitors can also explore the reserve laboratory, where nearly 4,000 objects from the Pointe-du-Buisson collection are presented. 2026 Annual Conference – Manger le Saint-Laurent

The annual conference Manger le Saint-Laurent explores the St. Lawrence River and its edible resources. This special event offers a different perspective on the river by exploring its history, environment and the connections between its resources and the communities that live along its shores.
This cultural programming complements the permanent and temporary exhibitions, offering visitors new opportunities to learn about history, archaeology, culture and the environment.
Explore the Trails and an Exceptional Ecosystem
The discovery of Pointe-du-Buisson continues outdoors. The park's trails allow visitors to explore the site's unique forest cover, including a maple-hickory forest, a forest that has existed for thousands of years and is home to a complex and increasingly fragile ecosystem.
The trails offer a special opportunity to observe the local wildlife and plant life while enjoying a peaceful natural setting. Along the way, visitors can take their time observing the vegetation, birds and different elements that make up this remarkable environment.
