PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS

AlterAnima - Unexpected Encounters

Plunge into a world of fantasy where what you see is mixed with what animals see, in a way that is as unexpected as it is scientific. The AlterAnima exhibit presents the most beautiful taxidermic specimens from the collections of the Museum in an artistic and original setting. Hundreds of animals await your visit, including a polar bear and a cougar. You must be on the lookout and open your eyes; several animals are hidden in unexpected places! A cascade of visual and acoustic surprises awaits you in this fantastic forest.!

TEMPORARY EXHIBITION

Ça chauffe ! Cool it
From January 17 to April 26, 2026

In a context where climate change represents one of the greatest threats to our health in the 21st century, Ça chauffe! Cool it offers an approach that combines art and science to spark reflection and inspire action.
In the first part of the exhibition, discover how human activity is responsible for the increase in greenhouse gases, the direct link to rising temperatures, and the impacts on planetary health.
The second part of the exhibition explores how, as individuals and as a society, we can take action to counter climate change. For example, discover the co-benefits of your actions in areas such as transportation, food, and connection with nature.
Produced by the Armand-Frappier Health Museum, this exhibition is made possible thanks to the financial support of Environment and Climate Change Canada and the ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs. This support from the Government of Québec is part of the Climate Action Mobilization Strategy, which stems from the 2030 Plan for a Green Economy. The contribution of both levels of government helps raise public awareness of climate issues and promote concrete actions for a more sustainable future.

See, Understand and Hear the Guitar 🎸

Why does the same note sound different depending on the instrument that produces it? Is it possible to design guitars using materials other than wood? What roles do materials, shape, and manufacturing play in the sound of a guitar?

This conference-discussion (45 minutes) offers an accessible and passionate dive into the world of the guitar, at the crossroads of music, science, and craftsmanship. Through exchanges with specialists in lutherie, acoustics, and music, the public is invited to better understand what lies behind the sound.

Followed by a short concert (45 minutes), the event is both informative, lively, and friendly, leaving room for questions, demonstrations, and curiosity.
