PARC MARIE-VICTORIN: YOUR SUMMER STARTS HERE!
An Unmissable Botanical Legacy
Located in Kingsey Falls, the Parc Marie-Victorin was created in 1985 as a tribute to Brother Marie-Victorin, a native of Kingsey Falls and one of Québec's most influential pioneers in botany. The Park stands out for its remarkable themed gardens, impressive three-dimensional mosaicultures, and outstanding collection of carnivorous plants.
7 Themed Gardens and 1,000 Discoveries
With 6 km of walking trails, visitors can explore a wide variety of landscapes and experiences. The giant mosaicultures captivate guests with their artistic creativity and technical excellence, while the greenhouse's collection of 1,200 carnivorous plants fascinates visitors with their extraordinary adaptations.
From the Bird Garden to the Waterfall Garden, and along the Curiosity Trail, every step invites exploration and discovery. Designed as a place for observation, education, and conservation, the Park's new natural wetland conservation area actively supports local biodiversity by providing essential habitat for numerous plant and animal species.
A Dynamic Seasonal Program
Throughout the season, the Park comes alive with a diverse calendar of events that showcases horticultural expertise and an educational mission designed to inspire, surprise, and delight visitors of all ages.
Signature events include the Peony Exhibition in June, the Bonsai Exhibition in July, and the Carnivorous Plant Exhibition in August, all of which have become must-see experiences for enthusiasts. These special events feature accessible workshops and presentations that share knowledge, expertise, and passion with visitors.
The on-site museum further enhances the experience with unique artifacts from the remarkable cast-iron collection of Alain Lemaire, co-founder of Cascades. This exceptional collection reflects the dedication of one of Québec's great collectors to preserving the province's rich heritage.
