In an exceptional natural environment, discover Lac des Cygnes, a head lake that offers a safe fishing activity for the whole family.
Since 1994, from December to March, from Friday to Sunday, an ice fishing activity is offered on Lac des Cygnes. In a unique and personalized way, the certified fishing center is supported by a total of 5000 trout stocked per season and by an attendant service directly on site for the rental of about twenty cabins placed on the lake and basic supplies (wood heating).
Access to the Jaro ZEC territory and its 155 square kilometers via Route 173 South, only 15 km from the Canada-US border. 70 km of forestry roads accessible by car or ATV. 15 bodies of water exploited for speckled trout fishing. Summer and winter fishing activities with boat rental service, provincial permits and various supplies (bait). Spring hunting for black bear and fall hunting for partridge, hare, moose and white-tailed deer.
Outdoor sites with developed access: hiking and snowshoeing trails around Lac des Cygnes (3.5 km), famous Portage River Falls (stairs and safe viewing point). Panoramic viewpoint (turret) on the fire mountain, access to a three hundred year old cedar.
