VELOROUTE DES DRAVEURS - a must-see in our beautiful region

This linear bicycle path plunges you into the heart of our wide open spaces and picturesque landscapes. The Véloroute des Draveurs, a section of the Trans-Canada Trail, has over a distance of more than 72 km, and with a multitude of geological sites where the fauna and flora will amaze you. Between the municipalities of Blue Sea and Messines, the trail runs along the beautiful Blue Sea Lake and several stops are found along the way. The surface, newly paved, runs for 35 km towards the Northern section, so between the municipality of Messines and Gracefield, and in the southern part, South of Gracefield and ending in Low, the surface is stone dust for 37 km for the moment. In winter, the Véloroute des Draveurs becomes a snowmobile trail.
PERO - RECREATIONAL TOURISM POLE OF EXCELLENCE IN THE OUTAOUAIS

The Pôle d’excellence en récréotourisme en Outaouais (PERO) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collaborate and support the development of non-motorized recreational tourism activities in the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau. The PERO has developed and upgraded a network of more than 50 hiking trails, grouped together in 12 of the municipalities in the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau territory. The trails, which meet Rando Québec standards, are available year-round, on foot, with a dog on a leash, or on snowshoes, as well as several cross-country ski trails. It also organizes races in the forest. Towards the end of summer, the ‘Veine d’Art’ exhibit comes to an end, where natural pieces of art are on display on some of the walking trails.
