KIO-O: The Center for Renewal and Creativity
Kio-o is a unique renewal center located on a 125-acre estate in the beautiful Laurentian mountains, about 100 km from Montreal in Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides. The calm atmosphere, private lake, stunning cliff views, mountains, and trails make this place exceptionally beautiful, inviting calmness and deep relaxation. The center offers over 100 renewal retreats with various approaches—Yoga, Meditation, Qi Gong, Singing, Personal Development, Rituals, and more. A special feature of Kio-o is that meals served are vegetarian, and I can assure you they are delicious. Another unique aspect… everyone does their own dishes! The site includes a private lake (where you can swim) and forest trails leading to a cliff that offers an impressive view! The surrounding nature is undoubtedly the highlight of the place!
The center has 25 rooms with a capacity to accommodate more than 50 people, a dining room, and three meeting rooms. The rooms are located in buildings that resemble private cabins, with shared common areas (entrance, bathroom, and living room). Each room has two single beds and a small desk. Another special feature is that you are given sheets upon arrival so you can make your own bed.
