Come discover the history of the first school for girls in northern Mexico! The mission of the Cultural Center of the Ursuline Monastery is to bear witness to the presence and work of the Ursulines and to share their heritage by offering activities focusing on exchanges, experiences and encounters in arts and heritage.
Four exhibitions allow you to learn more about the different facets of the history of the Ursulines. Discover the educational work of the Ursulines, in the permanent exhibition L'Académie des demoiselles. The Broder comme une Ursuline room, where pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries are presented, teaches you more about the exceptional textile production of the community. Take a moment to play in the playful exhibition for families It is by playing that we become great. Meet the founders Marie de l'Incarnation and Madeleine de Chauvigny de la Peltrie and discover the evolution of the monastery in the Memory room of a house.
Through December 1, immerse yourself in the delightful Common Threads exhibition.
And be sure to participate in the cultural activities included in the programming commemorating the 350th anniversary of the death of Marie of the Incarnation.
