Summer Exhibitions
Until September 7, 2025, discover the fascinating world of hunting and fishing through the works from the MBAS collection, and explore the work of artists Karine Locatelli and Marie-Soleil Provençal, accompanied by the poetic texts of writer Olivier Lussier. The second exhibition, titled "In the Eye of the Vulture," will immerse you in the environment created by multidisciplinary artist Stéphanie Morissette, who transforms the exhibition hall into a vast imaginary forest.
Outdoor Creation and Historical
Visit Every Saturday from 10:30 AM to noon, the MBAS welcomes families who wish to experiment with different fun creation techniques inspired by its collection. Perhaps you will discover the artist within you! Did you know that the MBAS is housed in the former Eastern Townships Bank (1876)? Its distinctive Second Empire architectural style dates back to that era. Join the mysterious historical tour, "From Bank to Museum," which takes place at 2 PM every summer Saturday. Accompanied by a mediator, visitors explore the vault and artifacts of this former bank and admire the exceptional works of Serge Lemoyne, Rita Letendre, Marcelle Ferron, and many others. Anecdotes included!
On certain Tuesdays in July and August, adults are invited to join the outdoor creation workshop "From the Footbridge to the Museum!" The activity begins on the footbridge over the Magog River Gorge near the MBAS and ends in the educational workshop. With charcoal, soft pastel, or graphite pencil in hand, this outdoor walk will inspire you to create magnificent works.
