La Pulperie de Chicoutimi / Regional Museum of the Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean is located downtown and is opened year-round. The Reserve of the Museum showcases more than 26 000 objects and works of art. The bicycle has profoundly changed societies and individuals since its appearance in the 19th century. It alone is a real vector of change. Thanks to its dozens of bicycles from all eras, this exhibition brilliantly illustrates the special and unique relationship we have with this invention which literally changed the world.

World Press Photo Exhibition 2024

The World Press Photo has been recognized since 1955 as the largest and most prestigious annual press photography competition in the world. The winning photographs are assembled in a traveling exhibition visiting more than 60 cities in 18 countries including Saguenay. For its 67th edition, the competition saw 3,851 photographers from 130 countries submit 61,062 photographs. The winners were chosen by an independent jury rewarding 24 winners, six honorable mentions and two special mentions from the jury.
