Forêt-la-Blanche Ecological Reserve

Outaouais - Ottawa

Welcome to Forêt-la-Blanche
The Forêt-la-Blanche ecological reserve protects one of the last ancient forests in southwestern Quebec. Managed by the non-profit organization Friends of Forêt-la-Blanche, this ecological reserve aims to promote education on forest conservation as well as biological and ecological diversity in Quebec.

The Forêt-la-Blanche ecological reserve is one of the few ecological reserves open to the public in Quebec, offering numerous trails accessible year-round. Our unique landscapes are sure to leave you in awe!

Discover our trails

The ecological reserve offers 12 km of trails, some winding through stands of ancient trees, and others through wetlands. Come for a hike or snowshoe walk on one of the 6 trails where you can discover the long boardwalks along Amik and aux Hérons lakes, the grand staircase on trail #4, and the waterfall, and enjoy the lookout points, picnic tables, and rest benches. Additionally, on each trail, you will find educational panels that enhance your knowledge of the wildlife and flora of Forêt-la-Blanche, as well as the phenomena that govern the various ecosystems found here. An ideal place for discoveries!
