The Daniel A. Séguin Garden: a must in Saint-Hyacinthe

Want to spend a fun and out of the ordinary day?
We invite you to participate in the Hyacon (Hya for Saint-Hyacinthe and Con for convention, festival), which will take place at Jardin Daniel A. Séguin on Sunday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and August 20th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Hyacon is an event dedicated to cosplay. So you can go out or design your favorite superhero or character costumes and come to the Garden in disguise! If you don't like to dress up, no problem: you can just come and enjoy the festive atmosphere and sip a bubble tea.
This very first cosplay will be made easy, with activities for the family: botanical photoshoots, possibility of picnicking on site, food trucks, bubble tea, medieval fencing, board games, fun pub and artist alley .

Whether this is your first visit to Jardin Daniel A. Séguin or you are a regular visitor, it will be a privilege for us to welcome you as we celebrate the Year of the Garden. across Canada!
Our garden is primarily for educational purposes. Indeed, it was created 27 years ago by the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire du Québec (ITAQ) in Saint-Hyacinthe to be an open-air laboratory for students.
Today, it has 24 thematic gardens, for example the Mediterranean Garden or the Medieval Garden, covering a total area of 4.5 hectares.
Come lose yourself among the flowerbeds of the French Garden, which proudly houses more than 3,000 annuals produced by ITAQ students. Meditate on a bench in the Japanese Garden in front of the tea house, letting the wind caress your face. Let your children play freely in the Amadahy Kindergarten or tenderly kiss your sweetheart in the Garden of Love.
Gateway to our garden, the eco-responsible horticultural pavilion includes a green roof that you could visit for inspiration at home. It also offers you the possibility of admiring green walls.
In terms of facilities, we provide you with toilets, picnic tables, a mini-shop and a terrace with tables and shelters.
