Five people from different backgrounds sign up for evening theater classes. Stéphane, the teacher, suggests they put on a play in which each person will play a part of their own "story." With his evident charisma and natural talent for uncovering others' vulnerabilities, Stéphane gradually forces his students to confide their problems and open the floodgates of buried anxiety. The intention seems noble enough, but Stéphane plays with forces he doesn't fully understand. Like the sorcerer's apprentice, he unleashes energies he can no longer control, and the consequences of this game add modern and dangerous dramatic elements to the play.
