The Matawinie National Trail, in its Lanaudière section, offers a picturesque journey spanning over 180 km from east to west. You'll have the opportunity to explore the region's most beautiful natural environments, immersing yourself in the splendor of northern Lanaudière.

Deer Refuge - Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie Nature Park and National Trail

The Chute-à-Bull Regional Park is a site where nature and culture converge, forming an exceptional tourist attraction. A worthy representative of the local heritage of Saint-Côme, the park welcomes you to the site of a former lumberjack camp where you have access to hiking trails and several waterfalls, including an 18-meter-high waterfall. Additionally, in summer as well as in winter, you can extend your stay thanks to the 3 equipped refuges.

The Sept-Chutes Regional Park offers the most beautiful viewpoints in Matawinie. A classic destination for hiking enthusiasts in the region, it presents breathtaking landscapes of the Laurentian mountain ranges! Between the maple grove of Mount Barrière (610 meters) and the rocky ridges of Mount Brassard (650 meters), you will find unique and diverse scenery.

Covering over 150 km², the Ouareau Forest Regional Park offers vast territory for outdoor enthusiasts. It is accessible from the following sectors: Massif, Grande-Jetée, Grande-Vallée, Pont Suspendu, and Contreforts. The park features a mountainous massif incorporating a network of multifunctional trails (hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing) spanning 120 km. Numerous refuges and rustic camping sites allow hikers to extend their stay.
